Plane forced to land after seagulls destroy one of its engines (Lesvos : un avion obligé d'atterrir, des mouettes ayant détruit un de ses moteurs).
An Olympic Airlines flight from the island of Lesvos was forced to make an emergency landing yesterday after a flock of seagulls flew into one of the airplane’s engines. The Boeing 737 took off from Lesvos at about 7 a.m. but the pilot was forced to return to the island soon afterward when he lost power in the engine the birds flew into. None of the 113 passengers was injured during the landing.
J'espère que les mouettes feront la sieste ce soir.
